A host of Easter events will be held this week and this weekend.
Easter Egg Hunts and sunrise services will offer a celebration of the Easter holiday.
The cities of Royston, Canon and Lavonia – as well as Franklin County High School – will all hold events on Saturday, and local churches have events scheduled as well.
• Royston.
The City of Royston will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt March 30 at 10 a.m. at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4828 at 948 Franklin Springs St. in Royston.
There will be time to visit with the Easter Bunny at the beginning of the event, with the egg hunt to follow.
• Lavonia.
The City of Lavonia will hold its Easter Egg Hunt March 30 from 2-4 p.m. at Lavonia City Park.
The event will include the egg hunt, a bounce house, visits with the Easter Bunny and Mr. Twister’s Balloon Animals.
The third annual Lavonia Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by Chick-Fil-A Lavonia, Lavonia Church of God, the Lavonia Police Department and the Lavonia Downtown Development Authority.
• Canon.
The City of Canon Easter Egg Hunt will be March 30 at 2 p.m. in Canon City Park on Depot Street.
Along with the egg hunt, the event will include the Currahee Meadows Petting Zoo and prize eggs provided by the Lake Hartwell Shrine Club.
Free popcorn and water will be provided by the Canon Downtown Development Authority.
• Franklin County High School.
The Chick-fil-A Leadership group at FCHS will host an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m.
The hunt will be held on Jeff Davis Field at Ed Bryant Stadium unless it rains. The hunt will be moved inside FCHS in case of rain.
Games and prizes, as well as a cake walk, will be a part of the event.
The event is free.
• Victoria Bryant State Park.
Victoria Bryant State Park in Franklin Springs will hold an Easter Egg Hunt March 30 from 2-3 p.m. at the park at 1105 Bryant Park Road.
• Cross Roads Baptist Church.
Cross Roads Baptist Church in Carnesville will host an Easter Egg Hunt March 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the church at 16144 Highway 59 in Carnesville.
The Easter Bunny will attend for photos.
• Grace Baptist Church.
Grace Baptist Church will hold a Sunrise Service March 31 at 7:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Royston.
Easter morning service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
